Chapter-5 Morphology of Flowering Plants
Characteristics / features of roots , stem , leaves- their modifications, Flower/ Inflorescence types, Phyllotaxy, Aestivation, Terms assosciated with different whorls of flower.
Practicals : Study of stem, leaf and root modifications.
Study of different types of inflorescence.

Chapter 3: Plant classification- Different plant divisions- Thallophyta, Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, Gymnosperms, Angiosperms- characters , examples, reproduction modes, Life cycle patterns- Haplontic, Diplontic, HaploDiplontic, Uses of plants of different divisions.
Chapter 4: Animal Kingdom Classification: General features used for classifiction- Body organisation, Types of symmetry, types of coelom, No of Germ layers, metamerism, direct and indirect development, External/ Internal fertilisation, Study of different phylla of Non-Chordates and Phylum chordata with features and examples. Difference between chordates and nonchordates, Different classes of chordates with their features.
