Biology Practical Test on 26-9-2015, Saturday.

Class XI Biology practical test will be conducted on 26/9/2015, Saturday.

Practical outline:
1.Slide preparation- monocot/ dicot                        4 marks 
2.Test for presence of starch/ sugar/ fats/ protein           5 marks
3.Study of parts of flower arrangement on sheet.               5 marks
4.Spots-seven spots( speciemen of plants / animals/ types of inflorescence/ stem/ root / leaf
                                  modifications/ slides of animal/ plant tissues )      7 marks    
- Identification
 - 4/5 characteristic features .
  ( for each spot you will get 2 minutes + at end additional 5 minutes for completing work)
5. Practiacal file.                                              4 marks
6. Viva                                                              5 marks

Chapter 7: Animal tissues
Types of Animal tissues- Epithelial tissues, nervous tissue, connective tissue, muscular tissue.

Practical: To study the slides of Sclerenchyma, striated, smooth and cardiac muscle, Blood smear, Squamous epithelium.

Chapter 9: Biomolecules
Micromolecules, Macromolecules- Proteins, Polysaccharides, primary and secondary metabolites, nucleic acid, Structure of protein and nucleic acid., Types of bonds - peptide bond, glycosidic bond, phosphodiester bond.

Practicals:
To prepare slide of T.S. of  monocot/ dicot stem/root.
To study the slides of parenchyma, collenchyma, sclerenchyma, palisade cells, stomata, T,S of Dicot / monocot stem/ root.
